Full form of MAC address are MEDIA ACCESS CONTROL. MAC address are used to Idetify host.In every NIC (network interface card) has a MAC address burned in its Firmware so that MAC address are also called as Hardware address. MAC address are 6 bytes (48-bits) long. every NIC manufacturer gets 3 byte address from organization. and this 3 byte address are same for any NIC made by that particular company. After that he assign a 3 byte unique address to which is globally unique.

- MAC address are written in 12 hexadecimal digits.

- go to cmd> ipconfig/all
- If you have linux operating system .go to shell>ipconfig
