Today Aadhaar card becomes one of the most important documents as VOTER ID and PAN CARD. This will help you to make safe your data . as in VIRTUAL ID you are not needed to give your Aadhaar number instead of you can give a newly generated virtual id(VID) which is totally safe and nobody can know your Aadhaar data .             

WHAT IS VID?

VID is a virtual id that linked to the Aadhaar number. It is 16 digit number that is generated by UIDAI for the limited period of time. After a limited time, it becomes expire and no more tracking can be done by a company by using that number.  VID provides a limited amount of data to the company .and that data is sufficient for authentication. Previous VID expires when you generate new VID.

HOW TO GENERATE VID?

• Firstly go to the UIDAI official website https://uidai.gov.in/  
• here you will see Virtual ID (VID) Generator option under Aadhaar services section.
• now click on option Virtual ID (VID) Generator.
• you will land on the page https://resident.uidai.gov.in/web/resident/vidgeneration
• here you need to fill your aadhaar number and security capta and a one time password will send to your registered mobile no.
• now fill that OTP(one-time password) on Enter otp option.
• now check generate VID option and click on submit.
• your virtual id number is now generated and will send to your registered mobile number.
• and one most important thing this will be valid until you create a new  VID.#
